Brief

To mark its Golden Jubilee, the Islamic Development Bank commissioned Blackwood Creative Ltd to produce a major commemorative publication, an interactive anniversary website, and a launch presentation to be unveiled during the 2025 World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings in Washington, D.C. The goal was to capture fifty years of solidarity-driven development across 57 Member Countries and present a compelling narrative that blended historical depth, global impact, and future vision.

Solution

Blackwood Creative shaped a cohesive storytelling ecosystem built around the Publication’s theme: Stronger Together: Celebrating 50 Years of Solidarity, Impact and Hope. The book traces IsDB’s evolution from its founding in 1975 into a unique multilateral development institution made up entirely of emerging and developing nations. Through archival research, curated beneficiary voices, impact narratives, and elegant data visualisation, the Publication highlights key milestones, landmark projects, and the real lives transformed by fifty years of investment in infrastructure, education, health, climate action, and trade.

Alongside the printed edition, we created 50-years.isdb.org – an interactive digital experience featuring timelines, multimedia storytelling, and downloadable content, designed to make the Jubilee message globally accessible.

To support the official unveiling of the Publication, we developed a launch presentation delivered by H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser during the IsDB Governors’ Luncheon in Washington, D.C. In his address, Dr. Al Jasser described the Publication as a milestone that reflects “lives uplifted, opportunities created, and hope restored” – a message reinforced through the presentation’s visual narrative.

Impact

The project produced a definitive record of IsDB’s first half-century and a dynamic digital platform that extends its reach worldwide. The Washington, D.C. launch elevated the Publication’s profile among global development leaders, while the website ensures ongoing engagement with audiences across all Member Countries. Together, the outputs celebrate the Bank’s enduring mission and set the tone for its next fifty years – demonstrating that meaningful progress is achieved when nations stand Stronger Together.

Our legacy is not measured in figures, but in people: lives uplifted, opportunities created, and hope restored.
