Andy RitchiePartner and creative director
Andy is an award-winning creative director with global brand experience and is at home shaping high level comms strategies or planning new publications. His clients have ranged from international development banks to high street supermarket chains and government organisations.
Clare RitchiePartner and client services director
Clare facilitates all aspects of Blackwood’s business, from new business development through to procurement and gathering data and insight at the conclusion of each project. Her immense strategic communications experience means she always brings a new perspective to each project, and her project management prowess ensures projects stay on track and on budget.
Nigel RitchieGlobal brand director
Nigel leads our global brand offer, helping clients evolve their identities, stories and experiences – especially in energy, innovation and sustainable development sectors. He brings significant experience shaping purpose-led, sustainable brands across Europe, the United States, Middle East and beyond.
Jez WebbArt Director
Infographics, web, animation – Jez can turn his hand to any design-led communication tool. Popular with all Blackwood’s clients, he supports them to break new ground with new approaches that achieve great results. Jez is also an accomplished illustrator outside of work.
Caspar van VarkSenior Editor
Caspar is Blackwood’s senior editor. As a trained journalist, he has a knack for identifying and drawing out the stories that Blackwood’s clients really want to tell. His expert editorial guidance brings those stories to life in perfect English.
Daniel NutterDesigner/Animator
As a multi-disciplined designer Daniel has over sixteen years agency experience working across many different channels including publications, corporate reports, campaigns, digital, event branding and motion graphics.
Pablo RecaDesigner/Animator
Hailing from Córdoba, Spain, Pablo adds a continental flavour to the Blackwood studio. A graduate of the CEADE Leonardo and Seville University of Arts he is skilled at working across different media, translating ideas and concepts into stunningly crafted design.
Jon BrainWebsite developer
At just 13 years of age Jon taught himself programming so he could write (and play) computer games. This in-depth programming and digital knowledge is still being put to good use, helping Blackwood to create beautiful and functional websites for our clients.
Titus ScurfieldData visualisation
In a varied career, Titus has turned his hand to graphic design, the applied arts as well as web development. His ability to flex between disciplines means that every web project he works on incorporates an extra layer of creativity and skill.
