Navigating industrial policy

For over 13 years, we have collaborated with the EBRD to shape and enhance their annual flagship publication, the Transition Report. This partnership has included the launch of an interactive website, designed to bring the Bank’s data to life and improve accessibility, with the goal of engaging a broader and more diverse audience.

Brief

The EBRD seeks to foster the transition into an open market-oriented economy, and to promote entrepreneurship in the economies where it invests. The brief for the Transition Report has been consistent over the years: take the core themes and findings of the report and create a relevant, insightful and visually engaging print publication and website for a multinational audience.

Solution

Recent Transition Reports have evolved into fully integrated print and digital campaigns. These include a mobile-optimised website featuring interactive, exportable data charts and a user-friendly bookmarking function to help visitors navigate and revisit key content effortlessly.

This has revolutionised how we share the EBRD’s stories and data, making them accessible to audiences worldwide. Complementing the print report, the website provides an intuitive user experience, offering flexible access to interactive, country-specific data.

User experience is further supported by targeted promotional activities, coordinated launch presentations and robust social media campaigns.

Our work is both innovative and practical. Eye-catching commissioned illustrations reimagine traditional printed reports and enriched digital platform engages global audiences ahead of each report’s launch, driving increased visibility and extending its reach worldwide.

As much a work of art as a piece of excellent analysis

Impact

Our work on the EBRD’s Transition Report showcases how we can elevate a client’s communications strategy and strengthen their brand in an ever-evolving landscape. By adopting a carefully balanced channel mix, we have helped the Bank achieve a 60% reduction in print costs and an overall project cost savings of more than 15%. Analytics further reveal a 160%+ increase in global audience reach through the enhanced online presence.

This success stems from the trusted partnership we have built with the EBRD. By understanding the Bank’s needs, ambitions, and priorities, we are able to effectively communicate, challenge, and collaborate with European and global stakeholders on critical issues of economic development.
