The Transformative Potential of Digital Trade

|

Our recent project for the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) highlights the launch of their new report, "Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Asian Countries." This report underscores the transformative potential of digital trade facilitation in reducing trade costs and fostering sustainable development.

Brief

IsDB tasked us with creating a report based on the fifth United Nations Global Survey on Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation. The objective was to deliver an eye-catching design that effectively promotes the themes of digitisation, sustainability, and global trade facilitation in a unique and innovative manner.

Solution

This report was produced in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT). It draws on the findings of the fifth United Nations Global Survey on Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation, measuring advanced paperless and cross-border trade facilitation while supporting a more inclusive and sustainable approach to trade.

The report highlights the transformative potential of digital trade facilitation, showing how it can reduce trade costs and drive sustainable development. This enables OIC Asian countries to unlock new market opportunities and enhance competitiveness through streamlined and efficient cross-border transactions.

Our approach needed to meet the needs of three institutions, balancing their individual and collective objectives while ensuring the report was accessible and engaging for a broad audience. We brought detailed findings to life with bespoke illustrative chapter imagery and dynamic iconography.
